Having an earth-friendly wedding is easier than it sounds. The key to one is by keeping things simple and closer to nature. So if you want to have a wedding that does no harm to the environment, here’s what we have to suggest to you.
- Who says you need new clothes for the wedding? If you really love the environment, you’d opt for clothing that’s already in your wardrobe. Or if it’s not the option for you then buy new clothes which you can reuse after your wedding. The situation of today calls for practicality, so don’t buy clothing that you’ll only use once.
- Serve organic food during the meals. This is probably one of the best and subtlest ways you can get others to become environmentally-conscious. If you serve to them great tasting food that’s unadulterated, chances are that they’ll ask you more about it. You can then use the opportunity to tell them about eating organic food as opposed to genetically-modified ones.
- Think being environmentally-friendly stops with the food and the clothes? Think again. Even your bridal car can be environmentally friendly! Choose a car that’s either a hybrid (that which uses alternative sources of energy aside from gas) or runs on biodiesel.
- However, take note that green weddings like this can be a bit more expensive than your average wedding. But you’re not looking for the average, right? So make your wedding day extra memorable by adding some shade of green to it.
